Zo’n 650 bèta-studenten van de Universiteit Leiden en de Hogeschool Leiden en 30 bedrijven ontmoetten elkaar tijdens de 31e editie van de Bètabanenmarkt op 18 maart 2015.

Op zaterdag 21 september kwamen honderden alumni terug naar hun studentenstad voor het jaarlijkse Alumnifestival. Zij konden rekenen op een middag gezellig bijpraten met oud-studiegenoten, een 'walking dinner' en een speciaal voor hen georganiseerd programma.

Zijn degelijkheid als minister van Financiën combineert alumnus Wopke Hoekstra met een open geest: ‘Ik benader onderwerpen graag vanuit verschillende invalshoeken en hou in het algemeen niet van ideologieën en dogma’s, die zitten toch vaak maar in de weg.’

The disease acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is characterized by fast progression and low survival rates.

My PhD research is devoted to studies of the conjectural cluster-algebraic symmetry in the theory of topological string, which is the simplest, however already non-trivial sector in the theory of string.

The work in this thesis has been focused on two subjects. The first is the assembly of alginate oligosaccharides and the generation of building blocks for the enzymatic synthesis of alginate, and the second is the total synthesis of large fragments of the zwitterionic SP1 polysaccharide.

'Met het soort kennis dat je opdoet bij International Studies kun je overal terecht', zegt Gaby van de Wal (26, Den Haag, Nederland), die in 2018 afstudeerde. Uit haar carrière blijkt dat je als afgestudeerde van de opleiding International Studies inderdaad heel veel mogelijkheden hebt.
